Tutorial: Lace Hair Bow

This "tutorial" is going to be for a neat Lace Hair Bow I came up with last week.  I'm not really sure if you can call this a tutorial; I think it's more of a tip or an idea.

I was never one to wear ribbon or bows in my hair growing up, but the other day I had an idea and I've used it every time I've gone out since!!

I love lace...A LOT!!  I thought it would be really neat to put a length of lace in my hair and in my opinion, the easiest way to do that was to just tie it around a ponytail.  That's exactly what I did!!

Step 1: PONYTAIL

I put my hair in a regular ponytail with a tie that matched my hair (sorta).

Step 2: TIE LACE

I used about 18" of lace and tied a double knot around the hair tie holding the ponytail.  Since I have (really) long hair, I really like it just like this, but that's just me!

Step 3: TIE BOW

I found this pin showing an image from The Complete Guide to Ribbon Crafts and it shows my favorite way of tying a great bow!!

Pretty nifty, huh?

I love this and think it kind of "sassy", as my hubby would say!  I consider it the grown-up version of the ribbon hair bows!!
